Light trails of a rotating funfair ride at dusk. Passengers in this ride experience a force of around 2g , about twice the force of gravity. However, the force is not due to gravity. Instead it is the
acceleration felt by the change in direction necessary to keep the passenger moving in a circle at a constant speed. The same force applies to satellites orbiting planets, planets orbiting the sun, and
any other circular motion.
